Skirt Chaser 5k

It was the first year for the Skirt Chaser, and I loved the idea of chasing a bunch of hot skirts… so I had to sign up. The course was pretty constricted and it was kinda hard to pass the girls ahead easily… I found it to be more of a contest of dodging than a run, but it was still fun. I finished in 24:24 (7:51 pace). I will probably do it again next year, but I hope they find a road with a bit more room.

Appetite Seminar 2005

Hundreds of mountain bikers descend (and acsend) on fairfax for the Appetite Seminar. We took the traditional route… All went pretty well except for one really nasty crash… on a downhill. I don't remember what happened, but it was at least a flip and a roll and I didn't even unclip. Somehow the impact busted a Garmin geko which is rated at something like 8g's… I am ok now, just a little scraped and bruised. Check out the route below.

First workout in CA

I finally feel at home. I actually did my first workout after the move to California. I am not really 100% settled in yet, but I am getting closer. For my first route, I did a well known route called the Paradise Loop. The loop goes around Tiburon and has really amazing views of the city and the bay.

Firecracker 100 Centrury Ride

This was a great day for a century ride. It wasn't near as hot as I expected for a July century. We were pushing hard to try to get under 5 hours, but just didn't quite get there… but we were only 30 seconds off. We averaged just under 20 mph, but it was a pretty flat course as you can see from the elevation profile.
