About me

I was born in Pana, a small town of about 6000 people in central Illinois. I decided in high school that I wanted to be respected, and have a job that makes a good living. I chose to go to St. Louis College of Pharmacy to be a pharmacist.

School at StLCOP was hard, but I worked enough to get on the dean's list every semester for 3 years while I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the computer lab and as an intern at Walgreens. I decided to quit working as a TA, and work for HealthTech Solutions, a group which left the college to develop technology for use in the health care industry. I then learned how to write Active Server Pages which use VB Script. After learning VB Script, I began to also develop in Visual Basic and Active Server Pages. I was trying to do all this, and also work some hours at Walgreens to get my hours for the pharmacy boards.

After working for about a year, I came to the realization that pharmacy was not for me. I left StLCOP, and took a full time position as Programmer at HealthTech Solutions. While working at Heathtech Solutions, an opportunity opened up for me at Washington Univeristy which I could not resist. I began as a web developer for the Center for Engineering Computing which later turned into a lead web developer position. It was a great opportunity because it allowed me to continue my education at one of the best universities. I finished my MBA there in the summer of 2005. My undergrad was a BS in Computer Science from University of Missouri. I just moved to Mill Valley, CA to work for MotionBased (A division of Garmin).

I have finished lots of 1/2 ironmans, quite a few marathons, and also two ironman events.

I don't know what is going to happen in the future. I am taking a day at a time. That has worked out great so far, so I am going to stick to it. Later everyone.
